You don’t have to worry because here I am with an easy chakli recipe that too without bhajani. You can make it from the ingredients those are readily available in your kitchen. Ingredients: • 1 cup Rice flour • 1/2 cup Jwari flour • 1/4 cup Wheat flour • 1/4 cup Besan • 1 cup Water • 1 tbsp Coriander powder • 1 tsp Cumin powder • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder • 1/4 tsp Hing • Salt to taste • 1 tsp Red chili powder • 1 tbsp Oil • 1 tbsp white Sesame seeds • Oil for frying Method: • Mix rice flour, jwari flour, wheat flour, besan well together and sieve them into a dish. • For making ukad heat up water in a pan and bring it to boil. • When water begins to boil, add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt, red chili powder and oil. • Mix well and turn the heat to very low. • Add the flour, sesame seeds and mix everything well together. • Turn off the gas. • Cover and steam the ukad for about 5 minutes. • Take the ukad out into a dish and knead it well with the help of a pot. • You can use food processor to knead the ukad. • Knead the ukad really good until it becomes smooth and even. • Take a small portion and make it smooth and even. • Transfer the ukad into chakli mold and roll out chakli from it on a butter paper. • Seal both the ends of the chakli really good. • Heat up oil in a pan on high heat and when the oil is hot enough turn the heat to low. • Drop chakli into hot oil and fry it well from both sides on low heat. • After frying chakli for about 2-3 minutes from one side, flip the chakli over and fry well from other side too. • When chakli is fried well from both sides, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish. • When chakli cools down completely, you can store it into an airtight container.
